poorly settling sludge gradient right
Entex logo

Entex’s fixed biomass systems combine the high density of
attached growth media with the excellent flocculation capabilities of suspended biomass. The result is exceptionally good settling characteristics, and an easy to operate system.

Poorly settling sludge

ENTEX’s IFAS systems enhance the overall settling characteristics over simple activated sludge or fixed film systems. The combination of attached growth and suspended growth biomass forms an excellent settling sludge. Activated sludge systems that typically operate at SVIs of 100 to 150 usually see improvements to 75 to 90. This is true of both fixed media BioWeb systems as well as moving media BioPortz systems.
