In the fall of 2006, Chevron-Phillips needed to replace its aging wastewater treatment plant designed to handle the domestic waste needs of its large petrochemical plant in Orange, TX. After evaluating several IFAS system suppliers, Chevron-Phillips asked Entex to supply a complete IFAS wastewater treatment packaged plant to achieve both carbonaceous BOD removal and nitrification.
Included with the Entex supplied system is screening, flow equalization, an IFAS aeration basin with BioPortz moving media, providing >175,000 ft2 of effective surface area.
