In the summer of 2006, the existing 1.6 mgd wastewater system treating paper mill waste at Portneuf, Quebec was retrofitted to BioPortz moving media. Previously the system had been out of compliance and unable to effectively treat the wastewater.
Subsequent to converting the system to the BioPortz system, the plant has achieved its treatment objectives.
