This 1.43 MGD treatment plant was upgraded for nitrification and denitrification using the MLE process in August 2001 and BioWeb was added to increase biomass concentrations. A performance test was conducted during the coldest months of January and February by measuring effluent ammonia in two parallel trains—one with BioWeb and one without. The BioWeb train significantly outperformed the control train. After testing was complete, additional BioWeb modules were installed at the plant.
